(“DocuShield,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information about you when you use our website at docushield.live and our trade document platform. Please read this policy carefully. By using DocuShield, you agree to the practices described here.
1. What we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, and information generated when you use the platform.
- Account information: Your name, email address, company name, and job title when you register or contact us.
- Document data: Trade document content you enter into the platform, shipping details, party names, cargo descriptions, and related fields.
- Usage data: Information about how you interact with the platform, including pages visited, features used, and actions taken.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and device identifiers.
- Communications: Messages you send us by email or through contact forms.
2. How we use your information
- To provide and operate the DocuShield platform, including document issuance and verification.
- To send transactional emails, account confirmations, document notifications, and system alerts.
- To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
- To improve the platform and understand how it is used.
- To meet our legal and compliance obligations.
We do not use your data to train machine learning models. We do not send marketing emails without your explicit opt-in.
3. How we store your information
Data is stored on servers located in the United States. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS. Data at rest is encrypted using AES-256. We maintain internal security controls and access policies designed to protect customer data.
Document data anchored on the XDC blockchain is publicly visible on-chain by design. Only the cryptographic hash of the document is stored on-chain, the document content itself is stored in our systems.
4. Third parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
We work with a limited set of service providers, cloud infrastructure, email delivery, analytics, and monitoring. Each provider is subject to a data processing agreement. We do not permit them to use your data for their own purposes.
5. Cookies
We use two types of cookies:
- Session cookies: Required for login and platform functionality. These are deleted when you close your browser.
- Analytics cookies: Used to understand how the website is used. These can be declined through your browser settings or a cookie consent banner.

6. Your rights
