Cookie Policy
Effective date: September 18, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies DocuShield uses, why we use them, and how you can control them. This policy applies to docushield.live and the DocuShield platform.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They allow websites to remember information about your visit, such as whether you are logged in, and to collect usage data. Cookies do not contain executable code and cannot access files on your computer.
Cookies we use
Essential cookies
RequiredOne cookie, set only after you sign in to the platform. It keeps you signed in as you move between pages. Without it you cannot log in. This public website sets no cookies at all.
Examples:
- ds_session: your sign-in session. It is HTTP-only (JavaScript cannot read it), SameSite=Lax, sent only over HTTPS, and it expires after 7 days or when you log out.
This cookie cannot be disabled while using the platform. It is strictly necessary for it to work.
Analytics without cookies
We do measure how this website is used, but not with cookies. We run our own analytics software on our own server, rather than sending your visit to an analytics company.
It records a page view: which page you opened, which site referred you, and coarse details such as browser, device type and country. No cookie is set, your IP address is not stored, and no advertising or third-party network is involved. Those records are deleted automatically after 90 days.
What we do not do
- We set no cookies at all on this website. The only cookie in the whole product is the sign-in session cookie on the platform.
- We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.
- We do not place third-party tracking cookies on our website.
- We do not sell data from cookies to any third party.
How to opt out
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies. Note that disabling essential cookies will prevent you from using the platform.
Our analytics sets no cookies, so there is nothing to switch off in your browser. If you would still rather not be counted, any content blocker that blocks analytics scripts will stop the page view being recorded. The site works exactly the same either way.
